Biro is a writer/director/producer at his NYC company, Hudson River Films.  He’s produced and directed three feature documentaries:

“Herbie Hancock: Possibilities”;  Grammy nominated ”The Greatest Ears in Town: The Arif Mardin Story” and “3 Doors Down: Away From the Sun.”

He’s also produced nine International Jazz Day concert films sponsored by UNESCO and Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz.  Host cities include— the UN General Assembly in New York City, Istanbul, Osaka, Paris, Havana, New Orleans, St. Petersburg, Melbourne and Los Angeles.  

The last five concerts aired on PBS.

In June 2019 he produced the “John Fogerty 50 Year Trip” concert film at Red Rocks, Colorado for a PBS Pledge Drive and the theatrical Fathom Event.  In 2018 he produced “GOTTI: Godfather and Son”— a 4-hour docu-series for A&E.

From 2014 to 2018, Biro served as both supervising and field producer of “The Perfect Murder”—the hit, true-crime tv series on Investigation Discovery (ID) network.  In 2016 he executive produced the feature film “Ace the Case” starring Oscar-winner Susan Sarandon and young Broadway star, Ripley Sobo.

In the 90’s Biro was creative director at McCann-Erickson Tokyo where he wrote and produced award-winning tv spots for Coca-Cola and Levi’s directed by David Fincher, David Lynch and J.J. Abrams.

Following Tokyo, Biro was creative director at RCA Records/ BMG Entertainment where he led a team responsible for music videos, package design and advertising for Christina Aguilera, Dave Matthews Band, Foo Fighters, Kings of Leon, The Strokes and others.

Post RCA, Biro formed Hudson River Films where he and his team create and produce content for clients that include American Express, The New York Philharmonic, New York Public Radio/WQXR, Thompson Hotels, Starwood Hotels, Morgans Hotel Group, Verizon, The Limited, Humana, Random House, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Sony Music Group, Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, A&E Network, Vh1, HSN Network, and Magnolia Pictures.

Biro has produced and directed documentaries, promo and/or concert films for Norah Jones,  Robert Plant, Christina Aguilera, Rufus Wainwright, Kate Hudson, Jerry Lee Lewis, Marion Cotillard, Melody Gardot, Emmy Rossum, Dickey Betts, Herbie Hancock, Maxwell, Gladys Knight, Jason Mraz, Tony Bennett, Lady Gaga, John Fogerty and others.
